Oversee projects within the Programming Department and participate on cross functional teams with key departments like Content, Marketing, and Ad Sales to help develop unique content and on-screen promotions.
Create and manage editorial plans for MVPD partners (seasonal, stunts, video collections, partnership highlights); work with Programming, Ops and Marketing teams to execute; track and analyze effectiveness
Brainstorm with teams to develop relevant and viable curation themes (verticals) related to music, TV and the pop culture landscape
Work with internal teams to perform analysis and evaluate the effectiveness of monthly programs and make recommendations for improvement to senior management
Contribute to developing and executing strategic promotions and brand campaigns that leverage “growth” areas for Music Choice into viewership and ratings (i.e. Kids and Multicultural content)
Perform other Programming duties as assigned
Strong knowledge of music industry and pop culture
B.A. or equivalent experience including 5+ years of music programming and/or TV cable planning
Complete knowledge of multiple music formats, including the associated culture and lifestyles.
Well versed in competitive landscape
Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office and Adobe)
