Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the successful applicant will assume a key role in assisting with Redlen’s EH&S Program including the development, planning, implementation, facilitation and day-to-day operations. Ensures that employees have the required EH&S knowledge, equipment and skills to perform their jobs. Works with management to address changes in the work environment and develop an environmentally friendly and safe culture.

This role is expected to be a part-time position, but may evolve into a full-time permanent position for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance and direction in the EH&S policies and procedures at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach
  • Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with Redlen EH&S policies and requirements
  • Maintain and update EH&S released documentation (09) to ensure safe work practices
  • Perform EH&S onboarding for all new employees and refresher training, as required
  • Assist with inspections by regulatory agencies and audits by external consultants
  • Prepare EH&S metrics, as required
  • Co-chair the EH&S Committee
  • Prepare and present an EH&S topic at the Monthly Townhall and Lunch & Learns
  • Coordinate with QA Manager, Manufacturing Director, Facilities Engineering Director and VP, Operations with EH&S issues and maintains, prioritizes the list of outstanding JIRA tasks
  • Plan and perform bi-annual fire drill/evacuation tests
  • Assist in the timely closure of EHS JIRA tasks
  • Assist the applicable supervisor with accident/incident investigations
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices within the workplace through Risk Assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Two or more years in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with MS Office suite



  • Degree in Environmental or Health & Safety or related discipline.
