Utilities Operator 2 or 1

Assists with repair and maintenance of the water distribution system 

Assists with repairs, cleaning and videoing of the wastewater collection system 

Assists with service, replacement, and reading of water meters 

Assists with daily master meter readings 

Performs daily work orders as assigned 

Performs maintenance and daily checks on equipment 

Performs rotating on call duties, including weekends and holidays 

Performs all other duties as assigned

Description

The Utilities Operator will assist in the maintaining of the water distribution system in a manner that provides safe drinking water for the citizen of Cibolo. An individual in this position will perform a variety of tasks in the water distribution and the wastewater collection system. 

Utilities Operator 2: Starts at $14.794/hr

Utilities Operator 1: Starts at $14.08/hr

Utilities Apprentice: $13.24/hr

Requirements

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

 

Experience:

1 plus years of experience in water or wastewater

 

Certifications &
Licenses:

Must have TCEQ Class D Water license AND a Class I Collections license OR at least one higher level (Class C/Level II) AND ability to obtain other entry level license (Class D/Class I) within one (1) year of employment (of an available class after employment); Flagger certification or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months (of an available class after employment); Must have valid Texas Class B (CDL) driver's license with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement

Satisfactorily operate backhoe, dump truck, sewer truck, front end loader, and skid steer

Certifications &
Licenses:
