Interprets drawings and diagrams to ensure products meet quality standards. Interacts regularly with engineering, manufacturing and customers to maintain and establish quality standards for raw material, work in process and finished products. 


  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
  • Determination and documentation of incoming test and inspection plans, including sampling plans  and Dock-to-Stock/Ship-to-Stock activities
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs
  • Input of data and reporting of key Quality metrics
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
  • Lead, review and approve the first article inspection reports
  • Work with supply chain to improve delivery performance and quality of vendor supplied material
  • Attend, participate and present at meetings at all levels within the organization 
  • Conduct training on Quality Assurance concepts, tools and methodologies as required 
  • Moderate lifting
  • Travel requirement: 10% globally


  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 to 4 years of related  experience
  • Proficient in  statistical analysis using Excel and QC Metrics.
  • Lean 6-Sigma Green Belt a plus.
  • Knowledge of automated and mechanical measurement equipment and software, dimensional layout and First Article Inspection.
  • Knowledge of CMM equipment operation and Data analysis using Excel
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 are required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee.   License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit person from Country Group B.
