Compensation Responsibilities


Oversee the management and maintenance of IPG’s corporate compensation practices in support of our global workforce. To include:


  1. Equity Award Program
  2. Solium Inc. Equity System Administrator
  3. Incentive Compensation (Bonus) Program
  4. Pay Increase Process
  5. Job Slotting and Market Pricing (US Employment Requisition Process)
  6. Radford Global Compensation Database Administrator
  7. Compensation Planning for Target Acquisitions (M&A)
  8. Comp XL (compensation software) Global Implementation and Administration
  9. Administer the CEO pay ratio calculation process to support the annual Proxy disclosure requirement


Determines wage and salary ranges based upon job descriptions, conducts job evaluation and salary surveys, establishes salary structures, develops salary budgets and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. Works with key internal stakeholders to assess competitive labor market trends. Maintains a general working knowledge of country and local regulations that may affect compensation policies at all IPG locations.


Stock Administration Responsibilities


Manages the administration, communication and compliance of IPG’s global employee equity grant and/or employee stock purchase programs (ESPP). Analyzes and communicates performance of IPG’s equity plan and grant practices to executive staff and internal stakeholders. Partners with Legal and Finance to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory, internal and external reporting and requirements for equity plans and disclosures. In conjunction with internal partners, develops reporting and internal review processes and systems, employee communication and education programs, and grant recording and tracking mechanisms. Manages relationships with outside equity administrator and designated brokers.


Specific Duties to Include:

  • Day-to-day administration of all aspects of the company’s equity compensation plans including the releases of NQs/RSUs/PSUs and the IPG ESPP
  • Ensure that all forms of equity compensation are administered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan(s) from which they are granted
  • Adhere to internal processes and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with international and US tax withholding/reporting requirements
  • Maintain equity database integrity and ensure accuracy of employees’ data contained in IPG’s stock system of record (Solium Inc.)
  • Provide excellent customer service in responding to employee inquiries regarding Solium account information/navigation, the ESPP, NQ/RSU/PSU vesting and other frequently asked questions.
  • Update monthly and quarterly stock compensation expense results and forecasts
  • Conduct annual Black-Scholes Valuation
  • On a quarterly basis, prepare CEO Equity Delegation Report for IPG’s Compensation Committee
  • Maintain “checkbook” of IPG’s available equity grant balance
  • Generate recurring legal reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) and respond on a timely basis to ad hoc data requests from Finance, Legal and Human Resources
  • Perform reconciliation, provide reporting for key SOX controls and maintain supporting documents
  • Assist Legal with creation/audit of new grant agreements
  • Assist Finance and Legal with the preparation of the annual proxy statement
  • Assist Legal with the maintenance of the Global Blackout List and the related roster of designated Insiders






  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in Stock Plan Administration or Compensation for a large, multi-national, publicly traded company
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • In depth knowledge and experience with all facets of a major third party equity administration software (Solium Inc. preferred)
  • A proven analytical capability and organizational skill set
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented, friendly team player who has demonstrated capability of accommodating tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience handling US and Foreign tax issues relating to equity compensation
  • Experience with SOX compliance
