 MIS Coordinator - Fremont 

Summary:   Responsible for maintaining and assuring compliance with contracts and funding source specifications. Provide an advanced level of knowledge and support for the financial and management information system including problem solving, developing new techniques, creation and maintenance of the department’s management information systems.

Description

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure contract compliance; provide troubleshooting, and work with staff to implement process improvement recommendations.
  2. Provide training and assistance to staff on program requirements. 
  3. Monitor and maintain the budget and MIS systems; prepare and enter program work plans, analyze program reports and recommend necessary changes.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on compliance and contractual obligations related to funding sources, WSOS policies and procedures, accounting principles, and the fiscal and management information systems.  
  5. Develop and implement the comprehensive budget; prepare, analyze, forecast, and recommend modifications as needed.
  6. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate monthly operation statements.
  7. Maintain and monitor program databases and documentation needed for CSBG reporting, coding ROMA outcomes, and auditing and contract compliance; ensure files are complete and accurate and quarterly reports are on file and accessible.
  8. Assist with preparation of contracts, proposals, and documents.
  9. Compile and submit appropriate documentation to accounting to ensure timely processing of invoices.
  10. Ensure accuracy of all department inventories, including purchases, usage, expensing, and reconciliation.
  11. Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with program requirements, including information requests and submission of necessary reports.
  12. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

 

 

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Required Bachelor degree in an area of study related to business and/or finance; certification in Excel within one year.

 Experience:

Three to five years experience in MIS and accounting related area and one to three years experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, internet, and database software; prefer one to three years supervisory experience.

 Additional Requirements:

  1. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  2. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
  3. Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
