Senior Site Supervisor - Gibsonburg

Summary:  Manages the daily operations of the assigned senior program site in compliance with funding source and contract requirements, state and local regulations, and policies and procedures.

Average 20 hours per week.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain documentation and statistics data for reporting purposes.
  2. Monitor and enforce appropriate portioning of food items for congregate meals, ensure proper temperature of food, proper left over procedures, and sanitation rules are followed.
  3. Develop and plan III-B programming and execute III-C programming per contracts.
  4. Evaluate home delivered clients per III-C contracts.
  5. Ensure active site advisory council is operating according to by-laws.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.
  7. Assist seniors in calculating contributions; make daily deposits of funds.
  8. Conduct in-take intervention and make appropriate referrals using a case management approach.
  9. Maintain the cleanliness of the site by ensuring sweeping and mopping is completed daily and bathrooms are cleaned weekly.
  10. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Requirements

Education:

Required Associate degree in education, food service, social work, public relations or related field and ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 6 months.

 Experience:

One to three years experience in food service, working with seniors, social services or related experience and one to three years experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software; prefer one to three years supervisory experience.

 Additional Requirements:

  1. Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.
  2. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
  3. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  4. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
