Description

Skills required:  ability to create and modify accurate spreadsheets in Excel, answer phone and page recipients, use NAV software to apply payments and run aging report, ability to investigate deductions and work with Sales to resolve any issues, math skills requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages, understanding of chart of accounts and basic accounting principals.

Job duties:

  • Responsible for entering Customer payments into computer system.
  • Generate Credit memos for deductions, returns, etc.
  • Investigate deductions from customer payments by using customer portals, contacting customer and or sales.
  • Send statements to customers with invoices out over 30 days or past due.
  • Maintain Commission Plans in NAV and process commission payments to brokers.
  • Track commissions, rebates and promos in spreadsheets. Provide analysis at month-end to Controller to support accruals.
  • Create weekly aged A/R report with comments.
  • Contact customers regarding past due payments.
  • Back up Invoicing as needed.
  • Check customer files for missing credit applications. Send new applications for customers who do not have them on file.
  • Maintain credit applications, references and D&B reports in file in main office.
  • Run D&B reports and send credit reference requests out for new customers.
  • Maintain file of paid invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
